The thermal insulation from is a high performance coating for component protection on motor vehicles.

The installation space in vehicles, especially in the engine compartment, is becoming ever narrower. This makes it necessary to protect parts adjacent to the exhaust system. In production vehicles usually heat shields fulfill this purpose by preventing radiant heat from sensitive components. However, such a method has the disadvantage that the actual heat generation at the exhaust system is still present and the entire engine compartment can heat up. Especially with turbocharged engines, this can lead to problems (due to pent-up heat).
The solution to such temperature problems is our thermal insulation. This coating ensures effective thermal insulation of the exhaust system. The high-performance thermal insulation from us consists of a 1200 ° C resistant silicate fiber and only 0.2mm thick stainless steel foil which encloses the fiber and protects against environmental influences. The combination of materials means that only a fraction of the original heat development can be detected on the surface of the stainless steel foil. At such isolated components, there is hardly any heat radiation to adjacent components and the heat is transported through the exhaust system from the engine compartment.

With this highly effective insulation we can provide more than 600 ° C lower temperatures at the coating surface.
